Yin Claims Fourth LPGA Title
Ruoning Yin opened her final round at the Buick LPGA Shanghai with a birdie and never looked back, closing out her day in spectacular fashion. The 22-year-old Chinese star fired an impressive 8-under 64, securing a commanding victory on home soil. Yin’s remarkable round included birdies on six of her last eight holes, propelling her to a 25-under finish for the tournament, six strokes ahead of Japan’s Mao Saigo, who had started the day with a one-shot lead. South Korea’s Sei Young Kim also tied for second place with Saigo.
This win marks Yin’s fourth LPGA title, adding to her growing resume, which includes a major win at the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. She briefly held the No. 1 spot in the Women’s World Golf Rankings last season, further showcasing her rising talent.
