World Champions Cup Postponed to 2025
According to a joint statement by Intersport, PGA TOUR Champions, The Concession Golf Club, and Manatee County. The decision to delay the event comes in the wake of recent storms, which have led the organizers to prioritize the well-being of all partners and fans involved.
While the Bradenton area, where the tournament is hosted, sustained minimal damage, the organizers believe that postponing the event will best serve everyone’s interests as it allows for better planning and recovery efforts. The tournament aims to deliver a first-class experience, and the extra time will help ensure that high standard.
The World Champions Cup is an annual competition featuring teams from the United States, Europe, and an International team comprising players from non-European countries. This event revives old rivalries among some of the world’s best golfers and is structured as a three-team, three-day tournament played over nine-hole matches, including both team formats and singles play. Each match offers points for every hole won, contributing to the team’s total score.
