TWO BANGLADESHI GOLFERS IN MALAYSIA’S 44TH LADIES AMATEUR OPEN

Two Bangladeshi female soldier golfers participated in the 44th Ladies Amateur Open at the Royal Selengor Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia recently. The category E tournament took place from August 10 to 12.

The two golfers — soldier Shiba and soldier Jakia — finished in 14th and 16th positions respectively among 85 female golfers from nine countries. Lady Captain of KGC, Mrs Mahmuda Chowdhury, led the team.

The Malaysian Royal Princess Her Excellency Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz was the sponsor of this prestigious tournament. CEO of Standard Chartered Bank, Malaysia, Mr Abrar Anwar was present at the prize giving ceremony.
