As the final qualifier in the series of over 110 tournaments held globally, the Dhaka leg of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup stood out for its competitive intensity and impeccable organization. The award ceremony was the highlight of the event, with Islam Güre, Turkish Airlines Dhaka General Manager, leading the honours.Selim Abed emerged as the champion, delivering an outstanding performance throughout the tournament.MohadSajidul Islamsecured the second place while Lt Col Md Anwar Hossaincame in third, marking their impressive achievements on the leaderboard.Sherin Sultana claimed the “Best Gross” score, earning accolades for her remarkable precision and skill.
In the “Nearest to the Pin” competition, precision was the name of the game. Col Liaquat Ali Khan won the men’s category, landing his ball within 5 feet of the pin on Hole 12.For the women, Mrs. Kusum Farid secured the title with an impressive shot that landed just 20 feet from the same pin.
The Bangladesh championhas already participated on an international stage at the Grand Finale in Türkiye, hosted at the scenic Gloria Serenity Resort & Gloria Golf Club.
