Tiger Woods Announces Return to Golf at PNC Championship
Tiger Woods has confirmed he will participate in the upcoming PNC Championship alongside his son, Charlie. The announcement comes just a week after Woods expressed uncertainty about his return to golf following a withdrawal from the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas due to ongoing back rehabilitation after his microdecompression surgery in September.
The father-son duo, who have been participating in the PNC Championship in Orlando since 2020, are set to compete again in the relaxed atmosphere of the event scheduled for December 21-22. The Woods team hopes to replicate or improve upon their 2021 runner-up finish in this 36-hole scramble that features major champions and their family members.
Fifteen-year-old Charlie Woods, a promising young golfer, recently showcased his skills by qualifying for the U.S. Junior Amateur and competing in the Class 1A Florida High School Boys State Championship, where he finished tied for 29th. His team from The Benjamin School in Palm Beach also secured a second-place finish in the team category.

The championship will also include golf legends such as John Daly, Nick Faldo, and Lee Trevino, alongside newer faces like Justin Leonard and Padraig Harrington, who will compete with their sons. Additionally, LPGA star Nelly Korda will join the field with her father, Petr Korda, the 1998 Australian Open champion.
