Tiger Golf Club Hosts Friendship Tournament at Bhatiary Golf Club

Chittagong, Bangladesh – The Tiger Golf Club (TGC) recently held the much-anticipated TGC vs. BGCC Friendship Tournament at the scenic Bhatiary Golf Club. The event, celebrated for fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship, witnessed the participation of 39 enthusiastic golfers, including three accomplished ladies.

Presiding over the tournament as the chief guest was Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, SGP, ndu, afwc, psc.

His presence added a touch of grandeur to the event, highlighting the importance of such tournaments in promoting golf in the region.

Golfers competed across six categories, each aiming to secure a title in this prestigious event. The tournament saw some remarkable performances, showcasing the participants’ skill and dedication to the sport.

Mir Md Rakibur Rahman, clinched the title for Maximum Par, reflecting his consistency throughout the course. In the ladies’ division, Mrs. Rukhsana Yasmin emerged as the champion with a commendable net score of 44. Mr. Miarul Haque and Mr. Nasimul Hoque Mazumder both delivered stellar performances to win the Champion titles for the back and front 9 holes, respectively, each with a net score of 33.

The Best Gross Winner, Mr. Arshi Haider, impressed everyone with a gross score of 79, underscoring his precision and command over the game. The highlight of the tournament was Major General Sheikh Md Monirul Islam’s victory as the Men’s Champion with a net score of 69, earning him accolades from peers and spectators alike.

The TGC vs. BGCC Friendship Tournament not only provided a platform for competitive golf but also strengthened the bonds of friendship between the members of the Tiger Golf Club and Bhatiary Golf Club.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were awarded for their exceptional performances, followed by a closing speech from Major General Mahmud, who praised the participants for their sportsmanship and dedication.
