Savor & Style: Where Culinary Craftsmanship Meets Design Excellence

The existing bar of The British Aid Guest House Association (BAGHA) Club, a renovation project is located in the capital’s Gulshan area. The British-Pub-inspired interior of the BAGHA Club is designed by Zero Inch Interiors Ltd. The bar interior design is planned with the vision to be a comfortable and cozy space where club members can take a break from their hectic life, relax and rejuvenate.
The British Aid Guest House Association (BAGHA) Club was established in 1979. It is a part of the British High Commission estate and proudly serves a wonderfully-diverse mix of EU nationals. It is one of nine international clubs in Dhaka comprising several facilities: a tennis court, children’s play area, all-day restaurants, swimming pools, library, and many more. Apart from the other facilities, the property also consists of a bar which has been renovated giving the bar a brand-new look.

This bar of the BAGHA Club is a spot for socializing. The atmosphere and cheery design of the bar interior of the club is great to have friends over, for a party or just to hang out or conduct casual meetings with clients. One may choose to sit on the bar counter stools or group seaters or may opt for sitting beside the window overlooking the wonderful landscape of the club, enjoying chilled beers and great finger foods.

Challenges in Bar Interior Design
Minimal design intervention along with budget restraints and executing the design within a short time frame were the main challenges the design team encountered during the construction phase of the bar interior design. It took almost two months for the design team to complete the bar spanning an area of approximately 18000 square feet. The interior embodies a distinctive British-Pub aesthetic. It interprets traditional British elements in a contemporary style. Wood is chosen as the primary construction material punctuated with glass and metal details. The wooden panels, the intricate carvings, and the lighting make it cozy, warm, and inviting. Moreover, the extensive collection of bar accessories accentuates the visual stimulation.Savor & Style: Where Culinary Craftsmanship Meets Design Excellence

Zero Waste Design Philosophy
Zero Inch Interior’s Ltd. believes in zero waste, which is why they incorporated repurposed/recycled furniture and other items in the design of this bar. All furniture pieces are resized and repainted according to the present functional needs. All the glass windows are replaced as the previous ones were damaged which led to rainwater entering inside. Furthermore, the previous flooring materials were rough which made it harder to keep the floors clean, therefore, the flooring materials are replaced with materials that are durable and easy to maintain. A new bar counter along with bar stools have been incorporated in the bar interior design and this rendition perfectly completes the bar. The stunning stools with red-wind upholstery add a dash of color to the interior as well as compliments the wooden tone. Lastly, the sophisticated chandeliers add a dramatic charm to the entire British-Pub ambiance.Savor & Style: Where Culinary Craftsmanship Meets Design Excellence
