Patrick Reed Wins Hong Kong Open
Patrick Reed wins his first victory on the Asian Tour by winning the Hong Kong Open this Sunday, finishing with a three-stroke lead.
Reed, an American golfer, shot a remarkable 11-under-par 59 on Saturday, which positioned him at the top of the leaderboard in this prestigious Asian tournament. By the end of the tournament, he had a total score of 22 under par.
The 34-year-old, known for his 2018 Masters win and nine victories on the US PGA Tour, recorded a final round of 66, with six birdies and two bogeys. He finished ahead of Ben Campbell from New Zealand, the tournament’s previous champion.
Reed’s 59 in the third round was notable, but it won’t be officially recorded because the tournament allowed players to adjust their ball placements on the course.
