Nelly Korda Wins The Annika Golf Tournament
Nelly Korda wins the Annika Golf Tournament. Held in Florida this win helped her claim the seventh LPGA title of 2024. Korda’s 14-under-par finish made her the first player since 2011 to win seven LPGA events in a season and the first American to do so since 1990.
Starting the final round one shot behind leader Charley Hull, Korda faced early struggles but turned things around with a stunning back-nine performance. She made five birdies between the 11th and 15th holes to take the lead, finishing with a steady par on the 18th to win by three strokes.
The turning point came on the back nine. Korda birdied the par-4 11th, cutting Hull’s lead to one shot. Another birdie on the 12th tied her with Hull at 11-under. A birdie on the 13th pushed Korda into the lead at 12-under, and she never looked back. She added two more birdies on the 14th and 15th holes, reaching 14-under and creating a two-shot cushion.
On the 16th hole, Korda made a critical par save after her tee shot landed in a tricky spot. Hull, still in the hunt, matched Korda’s par to stay within two strokes. However, Hull bogeyed the 17th, falling back into a tie for second at 11-under with Zhang and Im. Korda closed out her win with a steady par on the 18th hole, finishing three shots clear at 14-under-par and capturing her 15th career LPGA title.

According to Korda, this has been a very special win for her. Her younger brother, tennis player Sebastian Korda, was there to celebrate her 15th career LPGA win.
Hull tied for second with Jin Hee Im and Weiwei Zhang at 11-under. Despite her strong start, Hull struggled with consistency on the back nine. Americans Linn Grant and Rose Zhang finished tied for fifth at 10-under, while defending champion Lilia Vu tied for 34th at 1-under.
Korda’s dominant 2024 season has firmly established her as the LPGA’s standout player.
