Nature based friendly golf tournament held at Arunima

The Arunima Golf Tournament 2023 and the inauguration ceremony of Nature Based Driving Range was held at the Arunima Resort Golf Club in Narail on July 8, 2023. President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Farooq Khan MP, attended as the chief guest and distributed the awards among the winners.Nature based friendly golf tournament held at ArunimaArunima Resort Golf Club Committee Chairman Major General Abdur Rashid PSC (retd) was present as a special guest while the club committee’s Vice Chairman Mohammad Hatem was also present.

Besides, the representative of Jessore Golf and Country Club Major Sheikh Hasnat-e Miraj, President of Tourism Resort Industries Association of Bangladesh (TRIAB) Khabir Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of Tourism and Hospitality Management Mohiuddin Helal, President of Wall Travelers Club Touhida Sultana gave speeches at the event.

Golfers from Jessore Golf and Country Club, Savar Golf Club, Kurmitola Golf Club and Arunima Resort Golf Club participated in the day-long tournament. Major Sheikh Hasnat-e Miraj became the champion in the amateur category. Nimai Roy of Arunima Resort Golf Club became champion in the professional category.

The chief guest in his speech highlighted the importance of constructing a bridge over the Madhumati River at Barpa to improve the transport system for golfers, guests and local people at Arunima Resort Golf Club. He said while other golf courses are artificial, the one at Arunima Resort is nature based. The program was conducted by Irfan Ahmed, Managing Director of Arunima Resort Golf Club.
