Musawath Wins DFCH Lady Captain Cup Golf Tournament
Musawath Shams Zahedee emerged as the overall winner of the prestigious Lady Captain Cup Golf Tournament 2024, held at Kurmitola Golf Club. The three-day event, sponsored by Dr. Fazlul Haque Colorectal Hospital Limited (DFCH), concluded with Zahedee’s stellar performance earning him the top spot among nearly 555 participants from golf clubs across the country.
The tournament was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. AKM Fazlul Haque, Founder and Chairman of DFCH, who initiated the opening tee-off alongside Prof. Shahin Mahbuba Haque, Lady Captain,KGC, Brigadier General Abidur Reza Khan (Retd), Tournament Director, and several other esteemed guests, including Colonel Md Shahidul Haque (Retd), CEO of KGC, and Colonel S M Sazzad Hossain, Club Secretary of KGC. On the first day of the tournament, the organizers also set up a medical booth for the golfers.
The prize-giving ceremony took place at the Banquet Hall of Kurmitola Golf Club, where Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, Commandant of the National Defence College and Vice President of Kurmitola Golf Club, served as the chief guest. He presented the awards to the winners and commended their exceptional performances throughout the tournament.

Brigadier General Shah-Noor Jilani (Retd) secured the runner-up position, while Mrs. Lee Ouk Sun claimed the Ladies Winner title, capping off a competitive tournament that brought together golfers from across the nation.
The event was a resounding success, highlighting both the skill and sportsmanship of the participating golfers and marking another memorable chapter in the history of KGC.
