Musawath Zahedee, a Board Member of Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and an avid golfer, embodies the perfect blend of sportsmanship and leadership. With over two decades of dedication to the sport, Musawath has not only made a mark as a player but also as a passionate promoter of golf in Bangladesh. In this exclusive interview, he shares his journey, achievements, and vision for the game as a player, patron, and leader.
You recently won Best Gross at the 3rd GolfHouse Corporate Cup Golf Tournament 2024. How does it feel to achieve this milestone?
Winning the Best Gross again at the 3rd GolfHouse Corporate Cup Golf Tournament was truly special. It was a good round on a really good course condition, and the tournament hosted by GolfHouse with such grandeur resulted in an incredible outcome for me. It’s always rewarding to see your hard work pay off in such grand manner.
You’ve also won the 2024 Club Championship of KGC for the third time, along with the DFCH Lady Captain Cup. How does it feel to secure so many back-to-back trophies?
Winning the KGC Club Championship for the third time and donning the Green Jacket again was an incredible honor. Additionally, starting the season by winning the DFCH Lady Captain Cup was a great feeling. These victories reflect my passion and dedication to the game, and they motivate me to aim even higher.
What is your best golfing memory since you started playing as a child?
That’s a tough one! But if I had to choose, my hole-in-one stands out as the most remarkable moment. It’s a magical experience that embodies everything I love about golf – precision, patience, and the thrill of the unexpected.
Your family is also deeply involved in patronizing golf. What drives this shared passion?
My love for the game is the main reason my family, my company and I are so deeply involved with golf. That’s probably why we find ourselves not just playing but also being patrons of golf.Golf has also some what brought us even closer as a family. We share the highs and lows of the game together, celebrate victories, and truly enjoy the serene experience of emotions golf provides us.

Did you play golf during your time in London? How do golf courses there differ from those in Bangladesh?
Yes, I played for my University team, and very soon I was the Vice Captain. We competed in the UK University League which allowed us to play and enjoy the various kinds of courses all over UK. Golf courses there have their own unique challenges. Apart from links courses which speaks for itself in terms of uniqueness, the most pertinent difference would be in battling the elements – the gusts of wind, the freezing cold temperature, the constant rain, and even snow and ice during winters. It’s a whole different level of golf compared to our home courses.
Which are your favorite golf courses and why?
It’s hard to choose, but Dubai Creek Golf Club stands out for its stunning ocean views and breathtaking scenery. Sentosa Golf Club’s Serapong Course also holds a special place, as both provides extraordinary experiences that makes every round memorable.

Turkish Airlines recently hosted their Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Dhaka Chapter. Can you share your thoughts on this tournament after its return?
The return of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup to Dhaka was fantastic. Held at Kurmitola Golf Club, it brought together golfers from diverse backgrounds, showcasing great talent and enthusiasm, both on and off the course. It’s always a pleasure to participate in such prestigious events that promote golf and enhance our global standing in the sport.
How did AeroMate Limited secure the GSA for Turkish Airlines, and how does this fit into Radiant’s vision under your father’s leadership?
Securing the GSA for Turkish Airlines was the result of relentless effort and dedication, primarily led by my father and his brothers. While Radiant focuses on healthcare, branching into aviation has been a strategic diversification, aligning perfectly with our vision for growth and excellence.
How do you see golf as a medium to promote Bangladesh as a premium golf tourism destination?
Bangladesh has the potential to attract golf tourists. With the right investments in facilities and infrastructure, effective marketingand international collaborations, we can elevate our golf courses and golf clubs to global standards and position the country as a sought-after golfing destination in South Asia. The key challenge here is the presence of vision and collective cooperation from all to stem a common goal which not only benefits the golfing society, but the country and economy as well.
What life lessons has golf taught you, and how has it influenced your journey?
Golf has taught me resilience, patience, and strategic thinking – all which are essential traits in life and business. It has helped me remain composed under pressure, understand people and their sentiments better, and appreciate discipline and camaraderie. These lessons have shaped my personal and professional journey profoundly.
