Bangladesh Army Chief Inaugurates 3rd GolfHouse Corporate Cup
The 3rd GolfHouse Corporate Cup Golf Tournament 2024 was inaugurated today at the picturesque Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka. The grand three-day event (13-15 November 2024) was officially opened by General Waker-Uz-Zaman, OSP, SGP, psc, Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, and President of Kurmitola Golf Club, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The tournament brought together approximately 650 golfers from clubs across the country, including international participants, showcasing the growing appeal of golf in Bangladesh. The inaugural tee-off took place on Friday morning, witnessed by a distinguished gathering of dignitaries, participants, and enthusiasts.
Among the notable attendees were Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, OSP, BSP, ndc, hdmc, psc, Commandant of the National Defence College and Vice President of Kurmitola Golf Club, Mr. A M M Nazrul Hosen, Founder and Editor of The Golf House, Brigadier General Md Towhid Hossain, SGP, ndc, psc, Club Captain of Kurmitola Golf Club, and Brigadier General Abidur Reza Khan (Retd), the Tournament Director.
The event was further enriched by the presence of members of the Executive Committee, including Colonel Md Shahidul Haque (Retd), CEO of Kurmitola Golf Club, Colonel S M Sazzad Hossain, BSP, SPP, PPM, afwc, psc, Club Secretary, Prof. Shahin Mahbuba Haque, Lady Captain, Lieutenant Colonel Abu Md Sayedur Rahman (Retd), General Manager of Club Affairs, and Lieutenant Colonel Md Anwar Hossain (Retd), General Manager of Golf Operations.
