Amateur Golf Championship Officially Inaugurated at KGC
The Bangladesh Golf Federation, in collaboration with Kurmitola Golf Club, officially inaugurated the Western Group 38th Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship 2025 today at the prestigious Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka. The grand opening ceremony was graced by Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, who attended as the Chief Guest, alongside senior officials, diplomats, and representatives of the golfing community.
The tournament, which runs from January 8 to January 11, 2025, has drawn 22 international golfers from Australia, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, and South Korea, competing alongside Bangladesh’s national golf team. A total of 115 golfers, including 102 men and 13 women, are showcasing their skills in what promises to be a thrilling and competitive championship.
With a rich legacy dating back to 1982, the Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship has evolved into a premier platform for both local and international golfing talents. The event emphasizes Bangladesh’s growing status as a prominent destination in the global golfing scene.
The championship’s closing ceremony, scheduled for January 11, 2025, will have Lieutenant General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of the Bangladesh Army, as the Chief Guest, presenting the prizes to the winners.
