Alfred Dunhill Championship With A Final Score Of 67
In an exhilarating finish at the Leopard Creek Country Club, South African golfer Shaun Norris claimed a resounding victory at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. Norris turned in a remarkable final-round score of 67 to clinch the title with a total of 13 under par.
The tournament saw intense competition, particularly on the final day, as Norris showcased a stellar performance with an eagle, five birdies, and only a single bogey. His strategic play and precision secured his one-shot lead over the closest contenders.
Close on Norris’ heels were England’s John Parry, Sweden’s Marcus Kinhult, and another South African, Ryan van Velzen, who all tied for second place with scores of 12 under par. Kinhult, the leader at the start of the fourth round, faced challenges, carding a 74, while Van Velzen posted a 72. Parry, on the other hand, maintained pressure with a commendable 69, but it wasn’t enough to overtake Norris.
The final hole drama saw Van Velzen’s hopes for a share of the lead diminish as he encountered water, ultimately settling for a bogey.
Further down the leaderboard, England’s Andy Sullivan and Dale Whitnell ended the tournament at 10 under, following rounds of 70 and 71, respectively.
