51st Aga Khan Gold Cup Golf Tournament 2025
The 51st Aga Khan Gold Cup Golf Tournament 2025 started with an inauguration ceremony at Kurmitola Golf Club. The event was inaugurated by Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, Chief of the Bangladesh Air Force.
This three-day tournament has brought together around 500 golfers from clubs across the country. Participants also include members of the diplomatic community in Bangladesh.
The opening ceremony was attended by several notable guests. Among them were Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, Commandant of the National Defence College; Mr. Madad Ali Virani, President of the Aga Khan Council for Bangladesh; Brigadier General Md Towhid Hossain, Club Captain of Kurmitola Golf Club; and Brigadier General Abidur Reza Khan (Retd), the Tournament Director.
Other key figures included Colonel Md Shahidul Haque (Retd), CEO of Kurmitola Golf Club; Colonel S M Sazzad Hossain, Club Secretary; Prof. Shahin Mahbuba Haque, Lady Captain; and senior officials from the Bangladesh Air Force.

The tournament will end with a prize-giving ceremony on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Kurmitola Golf Club Banquet Hall.
